General Hospital Recap Thursday, January 30: Nina and Jax kiss – Laura, Carly and more are in serious danger

Welcome to your Thursday, January 30th General Hospital (GH) recap! We begin our day at Crimson magazine where Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Jasper Jax (Ingo Rademacher) are kissing. Ava Jerome (Maura West) walks in and wonders if this is a bad time to come by.

At General Hospital (GH), Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) sees Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and calls him out for being “back from the dead.” He asks where Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) is and she gives him an attitude. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) approaches and says that people are angry at him for a reason.

Also at General Hospital (GH), Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) approaches Dr Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and asks how her niece is doing. He says she is enjoying school and seems happy, but really misses her mom. Finn says he needs to tell her something about why Hayden left.

In NYC, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) spies a gunman at the cafe and yells for everyone to get down. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) and his father Mike Corbin (Max Gail) jump to the floor as the shots ring out. As they lay on the floor dodging bullets, Mike begins screaming out in terror.

The gunman takes the waitress hostage as Jason tries to negotiate with him. Jason is able to free her and kills the gunman as Mike continues to scream.

As the gunmen shoot back and forth, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) crouches down in terror. A few feet away Gladys is hiding behind a wall ducking down. The gunfire stops and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) checks that Sasha Gimore (Sofia Mattsson) and his sister Josslyn Jax (Eden McCoy) are okay. They look for Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) and find her slumped on the ground, shes been shot.

General Hospital Spoilers: Valentin Cassadine Is Out On Bail

Josslyn calls the cops as Michael and Sasha attend to an unconscious and bleeding Laura. Josslyn realizes that Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) saved them from the gunfire. Nearby – Carly is still crouched as gunfire erupts right over her head.

At the courthouse, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) runs into Jordan Ashford (Brianne Nicole Henry) and they spar. Jordan’s cellphone rings and she says she must rush to GH to check on victims, as Valentin eavesdrops
