General Hospital News Update: Dominic Zamprogna Talks about Dante Falconeri’s Sizzling Return

ABC General Hospital spoilers reveal that Dominic Zamprogna is finally on the ABC sudser as Dante Falconeri and fans are still cheering the return. He recently spoke to Soap Opera Digest about his return and we have some of the fascinating tidbits here.

Dante popped up in the first episode that aired in August following the show’s production break. The actor left the show in 2018 by his own choice. When he felt it was a good time to return he let executive producer Frank Valentini know and the two had a convo.

Dominic explained, “Frank and I have always kept in touch, and during this quarantine period, it was no different … the idea of a Dante return was mutual.”

Dante will no doubt shock and amaze his family with his return to Port Charles. This includes his parents Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), as well as baby momma and ex Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan).

Of his on-screen ex he says wryly, “She says she’s excited but I see she’s moved on rather quickly….” It may seem quick to Dante, but in her defense, Lulu was dumped and served with divorce papers!

Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) is her new beau and we expect major fireworks between these two alpha males.
Zamprogna kept up his funny take on the new couple by saying, “Really, I couldn’t be happier for Desmond and Lulu.”

General Hospital spoilers – What does the future hold for Dante?

The show is keeping details of Dante’s return close to the vest but on a super exciting Friday cliffhanger episode Dante was told that the WSB needs him in Port Charles to take of business involving someone close to him. He got angry, thinking it was his mob boss dad that he would have to deal with, but his doc said he has no idea what the business is about.

It could just as easily be about Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) who is battling his dad for control of the mob turf in town. Then again, what if Dustin is actually a rogue undercover black market villain who is planning something devious for Port Chuck? Poor Lulu has the sense of a dachshund when it comes to sniffing out the crime so it would be just desserts if Dante must save her bacon!
