Annie Ilonzeh, who is also known as Dr. Maya Ward on “General Hospital, is leaving the hit show “Chicago Fire.” The actress, who plays a paramedic named Emily Foster, is exiting the series after two seasons.
Ilonzeh joined the primetime show as a new series regular at the start of Season 7. She started out as recurring but was then moved to series regular after the production of the 7th season started.
General Hospital News – Who Is Emily Foster?
Firehouse 51’s Emily Foster is a smart, confident, and easy-going paramedic. The show set up an exit storyline for the character during the last few episodes of the 8th season.
There was a scene where she performed a fasciotomy to a patient who has compartment syndrome in his arm. When the patient got to the hospital, Chicago Med’s Will (Nick Gehlfuss) asked who performed the procedure. When he learned that it was Emily, he immediately commented that she missed her “calling.”
In the season finale, Emily made the decision to return to medical school. She had an interview with Northwestern University and she’ll most likely pass given that she’s about to leave the show.
GH News – Chicago Fire Shuts Down Production
Just like other broadcast series, “Chicago Fire” has halted its production amid the coronavirus outbreak. Because of that, the show’s current season was cut short. The series is co-created by Derek Haas and executive produced by Dick Wolf. Other executive producers include Todd Arnow, Andrea Newman, Michael Gilvary, Michael Brandt, Arthur Forney, and Peter Jankowski.

Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) will also have the same idea and he’ll find Robert inside the apartment when he tries to sneak in. Robert will learn that Damian is looking for some dirt on Peter, too. The question now is, will they work together to bring Peter down?
Meanwhile, it looks like Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) is growing up to be just like Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). She ruined Violet Finn’s (Jophielle Love) birthday party although it didn’t go exactly as she planned. Charlotte’s becoming a litter monster, thanks to the help of Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
