General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: A Brainwashed Dante Tries To Kill Peter At His And Maxie’s Wedding!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that weddings in Port Charles often don’t go as planned. As viewers may remember, last year on New Year’s Eve, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) were supposed to get married. But as it turned out, Nina had enough of Valentin’s dishonesty and after a believed to be dead Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) crashed the ceremony with the proof that he and not Valentin was the rightful heir of the Cassadine fortune, Nina dumped him at the altar. And that’s not all. Earlier in the evening Valentin push Ava Jerome of the parapet at Wyndemere, hoping to kill her. Luckily Nikolas saved her, but Port Charles weddings tend to be quite eventful, even if vows are never actually spoken.

General Hospital Spoilers – The Double Wedding of Doom!

So it seems insane that anyone would want to have a double ceremony in Port Charles, that’s just twice the chance that something will go horribly wrong. While Finn Hamilton (Michael Easton) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) didn’t really want to share the day with anyone, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storm) basically strong-armed them into letting her and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) get married at the same time. But unknown to any of the happy wedding planners, trouble is indeed brewing.

GH Spoilers – Dr. O’Brecht Has Been Waiting To Get Her Revenge

In Switzerland, where Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zomprogna) sought treatment for the brainwashing that he endured, Dr. Leisl O’Brecht was working behind the scenes to get revenge on not only Peter for framing her his crimes, but also on Anna for allowing General Hospital  Peter to not to held accountable for the sins of his past as well as his current crimes. And it seems as if poor Dante will continue to be O’Brecht’s unwitting pawn. It’s not clear if Dante was successfully treated for his original brainwashing but at any rate he’s still not completely in control of himself. All it takes is the click of a pen, and Dante is under the control of whoever uses the pen as a trigger. While O’Brecht hasn’t shared her plans, it makes sense that Peter will die at Dante’s hand if she has her way.

General Hospital Spoilers – Dante Falconeri And Maxie Jones Are Very Close

This is all the more tragic because Dante and Maxie are as close as they ever were. When Dante came back to town, it was Maxie who made Dante feel welcomed back to Port Charles. And now that Dante’s ex-wife and Maxie’s best friend, Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) is in a coma following the explosion at the Floating Rib, the two on them will likely need to lean on one another more than ever.

So if Dante is given the order to kill Peter, most likely at the wedding ceremony, it will be Maxie who has the best chance of getting through to Dante. Even if Maxie is made aware by that point of Peter’s crimes, he is still the father of the baby she is carrying him, so she should be desperate that Peter not die. The wedding itself may not happen for Peter and Maxie, because once she finds out about his crimes, it’s unlikely Maxie will want anything to do with Peter, but she won’t be able to stand by and let Dante do something he wouldn’t do if someone want’s controlling him.

Will O’Brecht choose the double wedding to enact her revenge. Is she planning on forcing Dante to kill Peter, and maybe even Anna? Will it be up to Maxie to save the day, even as her world is falling apart around her? Wilk either couple actually get to say their vows?
