Furious Netflix Subscribers Will Cancel Subscriptions Following Meghan & Prince Harry’s Mega-Million Deal

Meghan And Prince HarryApparently, not everyone is happy with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new deal with American technology, media services provider, and production company, Netflix. Indeed, while a majority of British citizens say they have little to no interest in seeing anything that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might produce, Netflix subscribers from all over have taken to Twitter to vent their disgust with Netflix’s offer to the Sussexes.

Of course, most know by now that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have signed a five-year deal with Netflix to produce children’s shows, films, and television series that take up family-oriented, inspiring themes. The deal has reportedly netted Meghan and Prince Harry anywhere from $100 – $150 Million.

While that’s obviously good news for Prince Harry and Meghan, many believe neither would ever have managed to land such a deal on their merits alone. Instead, people across the economic spectrum are now accusing both Meghan and Harry of insane levels of privilege.

Meghan And Harry’s Twitter Hordes Can’t Silence The Haters

Twitter has largely been the home of Meghan and Prince Harry groupies. However, critics of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have begun to mount vocal attacks against the couple on Twitter ever since the publication of the tell-all, sugary sweet “biography,” Finding Freedom. Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand co-authored the book. Those who disagree strongly with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s obvious privilege, those who disagree with their politics, and those who feel the couple betrayed Buckingham Palace are now screaming in outrage over the Sussex’s Netflix deal.

As one furious Twitter user wrote following the agreement, “Cancelled Netflix. Not paying one penny to them.” Another blasted Netflix saying, “If @netflix want to blow their money then that’s their choice.”

Yet another Tweeted, “There are other mediums out there to switch to other than Netflix. Let’s cancel our subscription.”

It wasn’t just on Twitter though that people expressed their distaste for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s unmerited preferential treatment. Over on Youtube, comments were even more anger filled with statements against Harry and Meghan leaving little to the imagination.

For example, a Youtube user named Rosie wrote, “Fed up with is couple think they are both hypocrites, hope they stay in USA the UK don’t want them back. Privacy haha really.” Yet another wrote, “Bye Netflix for promoting these 2 money-hungry hypocrites.”

Speaking of Meghan Markle and Harry, a user named Cheryl wrote, “She is insufferable with her thirst for money and fame. They are both so gross.” Finally, another user named Margaret wrote, “I canceled Netflix and will not be starting it again while they are handing out money like that to freeloaders.”

One could literally hang out on Twitter and Youtube all day and never come to the end of negative comments concerning Prince Harry and Meghan’s new Netflix deal.

Prince Harry And Meghan Are Oblivious To The Haters

While it appears that there are many who are unhappy with Prince Harry and Meghan’s new deal, the Sussexes themselves likely don’t care much. After all, Prince Harry and Meghan have netted themselves more money than most people anywhere in the world see in their entire lifetimes. Indeed, Harry and Meghan Markle just might have high-fived one another over securing the deal considering the fact that neither had to do much in order to secure it. Without having any qualifications whatsoever, Prince Harry and Meghan have managed to set themselves up for a long, long time to come.

Of course, Harry and Meghan Markle played it well, putting out a “classy” statement that read, “Our lives, both independent of each other, and as a couple has allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit: of courage, resilience, and the need for connection.

Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shining a light on people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us, as is powerful storytelling through a truthful and relatable lens.”
