Finally! Harry and Meghan Have a Job, But Are They Truly Qualified?

Fans of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry can start rejoicing that their favorite Duke and Duchess may no longer have to rely on their financial savings in order to maintain their lavish lifestyle. That’s because, according to some reports, the Harry Walker agency has picked up Meghan and Harry as clients.

For those who don’t know, the Harry Walker Agency is a New York based firm, which partners with event planners around the planet, connecting them with the world’s most important voices. Besides Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the agency boasts former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, former First Lady Michelle Obama, Tina Fey, Steve Martin, Kevin Hart, Stacy Abrams, and a host of other celebrity and political figures.

This is great news for both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle since many have been wondering exactly what kind of job the Duke and Duchess might be able to secure following their departure from “The Firm.” As most know by now, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the decision to step back from their royal duties as senior members of the British Royal family. This was explained as a desire on the part of Harry and Meghan to become financially independent of the Crown.

However, since they left the U.K. neither Prince Harry nor Meghan Markle has had any kind of official employment. Many believed that Meghan would be setting up shop in Los Angeles, working to get back into the entertainment industry. Perhaps Meghan would start off by landing roles in independent films, studio Rom-Coms, or even working as a new regular on some popular television series. After all, reports indicated that Meghan has taken meetings with film producers, casting directors, and talent agents.

Harry, meanwhile, has been quite invisible in the work department. Many feel this is due to his blatant lack of qualifications outside of duties performed during a ten-year stint in the British military. Prince Harry has no formal education in any university nor has he worked in an executive capacity outside of acting as a spokesman for various charitable organizations. That, can indeed, be chalked up to the circumstances of Prince Harry’s birth and not to any native talent per se.

Now, however, with both Meghan and Harry signed with the Harry Walker agency, it’s clear that they expect to do some lucrative public speaking. Yet, are Prince Harry and Meghan truly qualified? In a report straight from Hello Magazine, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are to engage in talks at corporate events and community forums. One wonders what Harry and Meghan will talk about ….

Apparently, the answer to that question is that Meghan may focus her speeches on race relations and gender equality while Harry is likely to go the route of Greta Thunberg. Prince Harry will focus primarily on the impending end of the human race within the next 12 years.

Again, the question arises as to what qualifications either Prince Harry or Meghan Markle have on these issues. Many would claim that Meghan is the child of a white man, raised in privilege, and thus cannot truly speak to issues of race equality … and the fact that she is of the female persuasion … may not entirely qualify her as a card-carrying expert of gender issues.

Prince Harry, of course, has a tradition of spouting many things similar to former Vice President Al Gore and the lovely, yet angry and horrified, Greta Thunberg. In other words, Prince Harry has jumped on not only the climate change bandwagon but upon the extreme fringes of that particular issue.

The bottom line? Harry and Meghan must have been signed with the Harry Walker agency due to their high public profile, and on that basis alone considering the fact that neither Prince Harry nor Meghan Markle possesses any advanced degrees in the issues, they plan to address as public speakers.
