The actress who plays Vanessa Woodfield has spoken up on the issue of her current storyline, revealing that she knows exactly how her storyline will play out, including the outcome. Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick stated, ‘I won’t say which way it goes, but I was told straight away. As soon as [Emmerdale boss] Jane Hudson brought me up; she told me the storyline and the outcome.’ ‘I didn’t even have time to think about it one way or another. As soon as I was told the story, I was told the outcome. It wasn’t a case of ‘here’s the story, but we don’t know yet.’ So, I’ve always known what happens in the storyline, but my lips are sealed…’.

Some viewers have been wondering if she may pass from her cancer, and Vanessa seems to be struggling with the idea that she will die as well.
