Eastenders Spoilers: Tina’s Gift Shoves Mick’s Trauma In His Face, Sex Abuse Story Erupts

Eastenders spoilers reveal that in Walford Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) will finally attempt to help Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White). In fact, he actually spends Christmas with some (not all) of his family. However, Tina gives him a photo of them with abuser Katy Lewis (Simone Labhib). It was given with the best intentions, but could set Mick off and lead to his New Year’s Eve suicide storyline.

A Very Carter Christmas

On Christmas Day, Mick and Ollie Carter (Harry Farr) will have dinner with Tina and Shirley Carter (Linda Henry), as well as with Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) and the children. Notice that Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) is not present, leading us to wonder if she chooses to leave Mick for Max Branning (Jake Wood).

Eastenders Spoilers – Tina Carter’s Gift

Eastenders spoilers reveal that Tina will give Mick a present, which he opens. He is shocked when he unwraps the gift. It is a framed photograph of them as kids with Katy, the woman who abused him as a boy. Of course, he won’t tell anyone why it stirs up so many conflicting emotions. However, it could be the beginning of the end of this emotional storyline.

Mick Carter’s Trauma

For the past couple of months, we have watched Mick remember his childhood sex abuse when Frankie Lewis (Rose Ayling-Ellis) said she might be his daughter. Just as Mick was coming to terms and accepting what happened to him, Katy shows up to do “damage control.” She insists that there was never any sexual interaction and Mick’s memories are just his fantasies from childhood.

He hasn’t been able to talk to any of his loved ones about what he is going through. As his trauma resurfaces and he is riddled with anger and confusion, he has actually pushed his family away. While he does celebrate Christmas with Shirley and Tina, Linda isn’t there and it’s possible it’s too late to fix the marriage.

Eastenders Spoilers – New Year’s Eve Suicide Storyline

The photo of Katy with Tina and Mick could mark the beginning of this storyline ending. We know that on New Year’s Eve, Mick will contemplate ending his life. He does reach out for help, but can he be stopped from a suicide attempt? We haven’t heard anything about Dyer leaving the soap, so we are hopeful that Mick doesn’t kill himself as this story wraps up. But there will still be a lot of issues to deal with as a result of his childhood trauma. In addition to that, he has destroyed his marriage and it might be too late to save it.

We will have to keep watching the soap to see what happens next with Mick, Linda, Shirley, Tina and the rest of the characters. This scene will air on December 25, 2020.
