Eastenders Spoilers: Shirley Tormented When Dark Past Returns To Haunt Her?

BBC Eastenders spoilers reveal that there will be a lot of huge storylines when the soap returns to the air. One of those includes Shirley Carter (Linda Henry). It is teased that her past will come back to haunt her. What could this have to do with and will it set up another character coming back? EastEnders Spoilers – Shirley Carter’s Past Returns

During a recent segment of Secrets From the Square, Henry talked about what to expect from her character. It seems that Shirley’s past is going to come back to bite her. The actress told host Stacey Dooley,

“I can give you a clue about what’s going to happen to Shirley. The past comes back and bites Shirley on the bum.”

Eastenders co-star Luisa Bradshaw-White plays Shirley’s sister, Tina Carter. She added that both of them were really excited about the upcoming storyline.

Dean Wicks Returns In Revenge Storyline?

Metro speculates that one part of Shirley’s past that could come back to haunt her is Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo). The story is that Dean raped Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), something that Shirley just couldn’t wrap her head around. She refused to believe that Dean could be capable of such a horrendous act.

Then, there was a conflict between Dean and Mick Carter (Danny Dyer), which prompted Shirley to announce the shocker that they were brothers. When Shirley could no longer be in denial, a horrifying showdown happened on Mick and Linda’s wedding day. Dean was arrested for the attempted rape of Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons), but was acquitted and disappeared.

There is speculation that Dean could come back for revenge, which would explain Shirley’s past coming back to haunt her. It would also tie in with Mick’s huge story that has been teased, as well as the rift between Mick and Linda.

As for what else to expect, we know that a new face in Walford is going to have their eye on a member of the Carter family. Could this also be connected to Dean, or at the very least, Shirley’s past? All the theories have the interested party looking at Mick or Linda, but the spoiler states a member of the Carter family, which could include Shirley.

We will also see Mick and Linda’s marriage go through severe testing. They both will keep secrets from each other and it’s teased what remains hidden could destroy them. What exactly are they hiding and is it all connected to a much bigger plot? We will have to wait until the soap returns on September 7 to find out.
