EastEnders Spoilers: Jake Wood Reveals Huge BBC Soap Change

EastEnders spoilers reveal that actor Jake Wood, who plays handsome bad guy Max Branning, has spilled some very intimate secrets about the show which may some leave viewers puzzled.

According to Wood, the show has dispensed with a core soap storytelling staple and will implement cutting edge technology, both in a bid to meet required coronavirus precaution mandates.

EastEnders Spoilers Update – No More Sexy Time In Walford?

Wood spoke to hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain this week about what is happening behind the scenes as the show gets back to work. The show had stopped taping for three months and has now resorted to showing repeats until it can get original content back on the air. The cast returned to filming on Monday, June 29.

Wood said that sexy love scenes have been canceled and now CGI will be used in every scene. He acknowledged the new normal is “challenging.”

About his first day back filming, Wood noted, “Well, it’s going to take a bit of getting used to, everyone is two meters apart. It’s quite extraordinary. We’ve seen some of the ways things are shot and you are not going to notice the difference.”

EastEnders Soap Spoilers – How Will Life In Walford Change Now That Filming Has Resumed?

Although he was willing to spill a few details, Wood was careful not to spill too many beans saying, “I’m not allowed to give away much but … almost every shot has got CGI in it.”

Morgan couldn’t resist asking Wood how his character, who is dating Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton), will get intimate on-screen.

Wood laughed and said, “They’re looking at ways to film it so people can appear to be kissing. Like anything at the moment, it’s going to be a challenge … I don’t know how they’ll make it work, but they will.”
