EastEnders Spoilers: BBC Confirms Eastenders Resumes Filming New Episodes End Of June

BBC EastEnders spoilers and updates reveal that fans of the BBC drama have something big to celebrate, the show has announced when it will once again be filming in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

That’s right, we’ll see what finally happens with Queen Vic and the residents of Albert Square as summer wears on.

EastEnders Spoilers – When Will EastEnders Come Back To The Studio

The UK soap, like the rest of the world’s television and film productions, had to stop filming after the coronavirus pandemic gripped the world in a deadly embrace. The show has continued to air the footage it had in the can however and as a result, it will run out of new episodes next week.

In light of the gloomy news now comes word that the sudser will get back to filming by the end of this month according to the BBC.

What can fans expect once the show begins airing new epis down the line in 2020? What we know is that the show plans at the current time to have four new 20-minute episodes per week.

That will double the number of shows that fans are now seeing since EastEnders is on just two times a week right now.

But wait, there’s more! The show will also treat fans to a special spin-off series entitled Secrets From the Square. It isn’t a self-contained fictional soap, rather it is a look at the behind the scenes goings-on from EastEnders.

Showrunners are enthused about the new changes and executive producer Jon Sen said, “Resuming production is incredibly exciting and challenging in equal measure.”

“Since we postponed filming, we’ve been working non-stop trialing techniques, filming methods, and new ways of working so that we can return to screens four times a week – as EastEnders should be.”

He added that taping is now a much more intricate and complicated affair. He added, “Filming will inevitably be a more complex process now, so creating 20-minute episodes will enable us to ensure that when we return, EastEnders will still be the show the audience know and love.”
