The Salem bad boy will play dirty to beat Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson). However, this ends up putting Sarah Horton (Linsey Godrey) in the middle. Eventually, she will be forced to pick aside.

DOOL spoilers reveal that Philip has suddenly come back to Salem after years away. The last time he was in the Kiriakis mansion, he and his father didn’t end on good terms. Now that Philip is back, Victor assumes that he is there to make amends. Philip is only interested in the CEO position, though. In fact, he tells Victor that by giving him the title, he can make it up to him.

However, Victor had just promised the job to Xander, which brings up an interesting dilemma. While under normal circumstances, Philip would automatically get the job, Xander has done a lot to help Victor. He saved Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers), did Victor’s bidding, and covered up his crimes. So, Victor will have to make a decision and he ends up suggesting that Philip and Xander share the CEO position.

Days of Our Lives spoilers from Soap Opera Digest reveal that this fall, Xander will decide that there is no way he is sharing the CEO title with Philip. It’s safe to assume that Philip feels the same way. This will set up a fierce competition between the two men and Xander ends up playing dirty. Head writer Ron Carlivati explained to the magazine,

“Xander does not want to share the CEO job with Philip, and Xander being Xander, he’s willing to play a little dirty to get Philip out of the way, with Sarah caught somewhat in the middle.”

It’s not known exactly how Sarah will be caught in the middle. Will Philip have a thing for the doctor, something that Xander urges Sarah to use as a manipulation tool?
