DOOL spoilers reveal that when Reckell decided to walk away from the NBC soap opera, his character simply went missing. There was no resolution or closure. While this is done to give actors an open door to return or allow room for a recast, neither happened with the character of Bo.

Fans would never accept a recast and Reckell didn’t show any interest in returning. He was constantly being asked on social media when Bo was coming back or what happened to the character. He understood how invested viewers were in Bo and Hope. So, he made one last stint on the soap to explain Bo’s disappearance. He was given a brain tumor and died in Hope Brady’s (Kristian Alfonso) arms.

Right now, Reckell and Moneymaker are promoting a new Christmas album that features Reckell singing. It seems to be something he really enjoys. In fact, he told a fan on Twitter this week that if all goes well, then there might be more music coming. So, it seems that he definitely won’t be coming back to DOOL and finds more joy and fulfillment in other things.

In fact, he spoke to Digital Journal about Blue Aeris and was asked to define success. For him, it means waking up happy in the morning and being excited about what you are doing. Producer Kehan Miller teased that Reckell has a music background few people know about and a powerful voice,

“Everybody knows Peter as such a good actor, but he has a music background that people don’t really know about. He has a Broadway background and a voice that is a little secret.”
