Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Tamara Braun recently chatted about her character. She went through Ava Vitali’s history, the horrible things her father did to her and the various types of trauma she endured. Braun said that trauma broke Ava and she’s damaged. Is that trauma responsible for turning Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning) into a monster?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Ava Vitali’s Trauma

DOOL spoilers reveal that Ava really went through an ordeal with her father. He did a lot of outrageous things besides tearing her away from the man she loved and selling her baby on the black market. She was locked in a box and her father even drugged her, then paid a psychiatrist to tell her she was crazy. When one goes back over Ava’s history, it’s clear to see why she’s so damaged and messed up.

DOOL Spoilers – Survival Mode

Speaking with Michael Fairman, Braun explained that different things can happen when a person is subjected to intense trauma. With Ava, she simply broke and it has left her damaged. We can see this in how she interacts with others. Most of the time she’s very closed off, like she has turned off her emotions. That is the mind’s way of protecting itself from more trauma.

Now, she does let herself open up a bit to Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams), but not completely. It is clear she is afraid of disappointing him or sending him running back to Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans).

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Not Bonding With Charlie Dale

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that the trauma has even affected how Ava interacts with her two children. She didn’t have Tripp growing up and now, she is mesmerized and in awe of him. She thinks he’s pretty darn special and will do anything to protect him.

Then there is Charlie, who has mentioned he tried getting Ava’s love for years. He said that the only thing that ever mattered to Ava was Tripp. She would usually order Charlie to follow him around the world and keep tabs on the young man. Charlie also told his mother that he knows that he isn’t the son that she wanted. Trauma even prevented her from bonding with Charlie, but she always held Tripp on a pedestal.

DOOL Spoilers – Making A Monster

As we head into 2021, Charlie will threaten Ava and she actually becomes scared of him. But the way he turned out is all on her. She created all that rage in him, created that desperation and created the resentment of his brother. She created a monster and while she might not have meant to, trauma and damage go get passed down. She probably always treated him like was “less than.”

But now Charlie is forcing her to really see him and what she sees isn’t even human. If he isn’t arrested, then Ava will have to deal with her son in another way. Honestly, we only see one way out of this situation, but could a mother really kill her own son?
