Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Chad and Abigail DiMera (Billy Flynn, Kate Mansi) will have lots of questions about the portrait of “Stefano” DiMera (Stephen Nichols) they recently found in an upcoming episode of Days of Our Lives!

Days of Our Lives – Chad DiMera Had Wondered What Happened To The Original Portrait When They Moved Back

Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) had wondered what happened to the original portrait of his father when he and Abby moved back from Paris into the DiMera mansion. He knew Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) wouldn’t have gotten rid of it, and didn’t think that Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) would either, but you never know what Gabi will do!

At any rate, it had simply disappeared off the face of the earth, and no one knew what had ever happened to it! It is likely still somewhere in Princess Gina Von Amberg aka “Hope Brady” (Kristian Alfonso) and Stefano aka “Steve Johnson’s” (Stephen Nichols) lair, where she had taken it over a year ago and painted a new one with Stefano the way he looks now, of course like Steve!

This is the one that Abigail found in a wardrobe in the gatehouse outside the mansion, where Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) had once lived, and where they were talking about moving into because of the mansion just being too big and too cold. Gina probably took it there for safekeeping so that Stefano’s cover as Steve would not be blown when the lair was invaded and searched.

Chad and Abigail were shocked at the discovery; there was this huge portrait of Steve Johnson in the same frame that the original portrait of Stefano was in, and everything was duplicated right down to Stefano’s ring on Steve’s pinky finger; same pose and everything! What could this mean? Who painted it, and why did they paint it, and why was it stored in an old wardrobe in the gatehouse?

Steve Johnson is a man who Stefano despises; was this some kind of a joke, or something meant as an insult to Stefano? Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) never mentioned anything about painting like this, and he didn’t know whatever had happened to the original painting of Stefano either! Chad and Abigail look for a signature of the artist who must have painted it, but they don’t find anything decipherable.

Could that be a“GVA” painted within the pattern of his suit coat? They are not sure and if it is, what do the initials stand for and who put them there? These are only some of the questions that Chad and Abby, but especially Chad, have about this painting! They will try to put together some people to question who might know something about it over the next few days, and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is sure to be one of them!
