There are so many possible scenarios, but the most likely one is Stefan has a twin brother. When Barash’s departure was announced last year, the actor talked to Soap Opera Digest. He was asked if he would ever return to the soap. (The interview took place before his return was confirmed.)

Barash said that if he ever came back, he would like Stefan to have a twin. He specifically stated that it would be fun and interesting if the twin was the “good brother.” He proposed that the good twin could be an FBI agent. Maybe that is what we are going to see in the next few weeks.

It’s also possible that she has been secretly working with Dr. Rolf all of this time. She is planning something huge and we know how much she adored her son. We don’t know exactly what she’s up to or how she’s pulled off this huge stunt, but she is going to want revenge.

One thing we have learned over the years is to expect the unexpected with her. She’s actually more of a threat when she’s quiet and in hiding… she never really goes away, she just gets to plotting.
