The two were trying to comfort one another over the difficulties of finding baby Mickey Horton (the May Twins) a bone marrow donor, having not been matches themselves, and things got a little out of hand. However, the reason they were getting dressed when Xander walked in on them was not that anything happened, but because it didn’t!

Sarah realized that she was in love with Xander and couldn’t go through with it with Eric! At first, Xander barely believes that Sarah is telling him what he has waited so long to hear! Sarah has to tell him until it sinks in, and he knows it is really true!

DOOL Spoilers – Finally, After Close To Two Years, The Slow Burn Turns Into A Fire!

Finally, after close to two years, the slow burn between Xander and Sarah turns into a fire! Xander was smitten with Sarah that the first time she got drunk and upset over finding out Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) had been fooling around with her sister and she stumbled into bed with Xander. They bonded slowly even as friends, but Xander was always close by to lend a hand or clean up after her when she had morning sickness, and her snark and sarcasm eventually turned into good-natured teasing.

Xander played Daddy and claimed paternity when Sarah didn’t want Eric to know that he was Mickey’s father and he even delivered her baby. The only problem is – it’s not her baby, but he couldn’t bear letting her grieve after all she went through with the pregnancy and birth just to find out her real baby died. But then Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) forced him into swapping the babies anyway. Xander still loves the child as his own, no matter who the real parents are, and as Victor warned him in a recent episode of Days of Our Lives, that baby swap secret must be taken to their graves!

Will Sarah and Xander have a happily ever after, and maybe even make a new baby that is really their own during their romantic evening together? That would really cement their relationship! As long as secrets stay secret and Mickey gets what she needs to live, everything should be okay! Xander will do anything to keep the secret of Mickey’s real identity from being exposed, and he will do anything to make sure Sarah stays happy and with him!
