DOOL spoilers reveal that Nicole eavesdrops on Sami having a conversation with her mother, Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). She hears Sami confessing to her arguing with John and saying some awful things to her stepfather immediately prior to his collapse. Before Sami or Marlena can fill in the rest of the family, Nicole rushes to expose the information to one person first… Sami’s lawyer and sister, Belle Black.

Fans really are divided on which side is right in this case. Some understand Sami’s reasoning and desperation. However, others are on Nicole’s side. At the end of the day, both are natural-born schemers, both have manipulative personalities, both have checkered pasts and both are wrong in how they are handling this entire situation.

No matter how Nicole tries to justify her actions, there is one reason why she races to tell Belle the truth about Sami lashing out at John before the family can. So she can get an edge in the upcoming custody case — even if Nicole won’t admit it, even to herself. There is no other reason why Nicole keeps injecting herself into Brady family matters that aren’t her business and have nothing to do with her. It’s all self-serving and done with a specific goal in mind.

Days of Our Lives spoilers from Soap Opera Digest confirmed that Nicole’s plan works. She tells Belle everything she heard Sami confess to her mother. Of course, Belle is furious that Sami treated John so horribly and may have caused his aneurysm.

Nicole gets an edge by removing Sami’s lawyer from the case. When she exposes how Sami treated John, Belle is so angry that she lashes out at her sister. Then, she drops Sami as a client, as well as the custody case. This forces Sami to either find a new attorney or figure out a way to represent herself in court.

However, what Nicole doesn’t expect is for Sami to make a bold move in court, betray her Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), and announce a surprise witness.
