Days of our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughn) may soon be growing closer once again. Their daughter Mickey’s cancer diagnosis and treatment have been trying for them both. Sarah had been slowly inching toward Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) but once the revelations about everything that went on Mother’s Day of last year, Sarah will likely want nothing to do with Xander.

The truth is, Sarah and Eric’s baby died that night, but Xander and Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) switched the baby with Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) and Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) baby girl.

Once Eric and Sarah find out that their baby girl is dead, look for them to grow closer as they mourn. This won’t sit well with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) who will soon return to her scheming ways to keep Sarah and Eric apart. Nicole will find herself unable to deal with losing Eric again after all they went through to be together. So whatever it takes, or whoever she has to work with, she will want to make sure that Eric is with her.

Could this lead Nicole to form an unholy partnership with Xander to keep Eric and Sarah apart? Nicole has mostly been on the sweet side since her return from the “dead” but she has always had a scheming side to her. If she feels that she is losing Eric, it seems quite likely that she would turn to Xander and the two of them work together. But could they find themselves drawn to each other? They would likely deny any sort or attraction but sometimes actions do speak louder than words.

A while a full-blown romance between Nicole and Xander seems unlikely as they both have other true loves. But in their time of loneliness, stranger things have happened. Their primary goal will be to keep Sarah and Eric apart, so no matter what happens between them, that will always end up being their goal.
