Jan approaches the young lady and plays nice, pretending to be her new best friend.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like Claire listens to her parents. It is confirmed that Marlena will warn Claire about Jan. This would only be necessary if Claire continued to interact with the soap villain.
