NBC Days of Our Lives star Lucas Adams (Tripp Dalton) says that fans will be seeing a much more confident side to his character now that he’s back with a brand new storyline. Here’s what he has to say.

Lucas says that the Tripp that fans will get to see in the coming weeks is not the same Tripp that they saw when he was last in Salem. It’s been a couple of years since Tripp was last seen back at home, mostly due in part because of the time jump, but now that he’s back, he’s looking to become Salem’s top doctor. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in their latest issue, the handsome actor offered, “His maturity level has really stepped up.

When he comes back, he’s more established. He’s been in medical school for a couple of years and has been doing really well with it. He’s taking himself more seriously, as well as other things. I love playing him this way. Right now, he’s very close to how I am.”

During his time off from Days of Our Lives, Lucas says that he worked on his side projects and of course, spent much-needed quality time with his family. He explained, “I filmed a couple of things. I did a movie called American Pie: Presents: Girls’ Rules. It comes out digitally on October 6. It’s going to be released on DVD soon, and it’s also going to Netflix in the near future. I also had a movie, Confessional, premiere on Shudder, which is a horror film streaming service.”

Lucas also added that he spent some time with his family in Colorado but is now back in Los Angeles filming new episodes of Days of Our Lives again.
