Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Judie Evans is feeling pretty sad and sentimental over her character Adrienne Kirakis’ death on the hit NBC soap. In fact, she even admits that her character’s death came as a surprise to her. Here’s what the actress has to say.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the veteran actress admits, “It’s pretty devastating. I can’t lie. You don’t know what you think. It’s like a part of your life, a big part, is gone. You don’t know what to think. It’s like a part of your life, a big part, is gone. I heard some rumors from a couple of people in the crew, and I was like, ‘What? What?’ Albert Alaar, the co-executive producer, is usually on the floor during taping, so I kind of sidelined over to him and said, ‘Hey. Is this true?’ He said, ‘Yeah, yeah yeah. But let me talk to you about it.’ So that’s how I found out. It’s that whole thing where a cold shiver goes down your spine.”

But at the same time, Judi understands that this was a logical decision that had to be made. She knows that from the producer’s perspective, it was something that needed to be done for the show and at the end of the day, it does make sense, and especially from a storyline point of view.

But with that said, Judi makes it no secret that she will miss the cast and crew of Days of Our Lives terribly, seeing how she spent so much of her life and her career on the set of the show.
