Former soap star, James Scott may be a bit unrecognizable to his fans. The actor who spent a couple years well on daytime soap operas and rose to fame while there is now sporting a very different look from his soap days. Scott is now sporting a bald look and took to his Twitter account with a post that read, “Marking the death of a past idea, dream, fantasy – illusion? Can be painful.

I chose to shave my head symbolically so as to drop the past and leave it behind forever.” The post was also shared to his Instagram account with both accounts now named The Whisper Within.

Social media was on fire upon seeing the photo of Scott rocking his new look and the words that accompanied the photo. His supporters chimed in saying how they admired his courage as he noted he was looking forward to the future and leaving the past behind. It’s possible that this had been a dream of Scott for many years but now that he is no longer front and center on the screens he decided to go after a dream look.

For those may not have been following his career, Scott is a British actor. He started out in daytime soap operas in 2004 on All My Children where he played the role of Ethan Cambias for about two years until 2006. He then went over to NBC’s Days of Our Lives as EJ DiMera in 2006, a role that made him quite famous worldwide.

He stayed with the show until 2014 when his character was killed off and he decided to make a new move with his career. He also played the role of Santo DiMera on Days of Our Lives for about a year from 2007 to 2008.

Scott was nominated twice in the category of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series at the Daytime Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2011. Since leaving the soaps, Scott has been off the radar but has attended a couple fan events and reconnected with soap fans. The last time we saw a photo of him he had grown his hair. Not much long after, Scott is now rocking his bald look, a new turn of events for many who did not see it coming.
