DOOL Spoilers – Freddie Smith’s Emotional Goodbye

In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Smith had this to say about losing his on-screen stepdaughter: “We watched them blossom into little young women and it was incredible. Their family is so nice.”

Smith isn’t the only one that was sad to see Harper and Sydney be replaced. Everyone on set loved the little actresses.

DOOL Spoilers – Why Recasting Was Necessary

Not only was the age an issue, but there is another reason a recast was required. An older Ari used to be a sweet girl, but she is going through some growing pains. The other kids at school made fun of her because both of her parents have prison pasts. Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) has done some jailhouse stints on a few occasions.

As fans know, after the time jump, Will Horton (Chandler Massey) ended up in prison as well for allegedly killing his mother-in-law, Adrienne Kiriakis (formerly Judi Evans). It is teased that will see her turn into a troubled pre-teen. We already miss the Udell twins, but wish them the best in their future endeavors.
