When Kristen comes back to Salem, it will be to support Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), who is praying John Black (Drake Hogestyn) recovers from his health crisis. However, Brady has no idea that Kristen followed him until he finds her in his room at the Salem Inn. He gets upset because she is risking everything, including her freedom and daughter.

Ultimately, Kristen does get caught and is arrested.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Kristen will go to prison unless she gets help. Her best friend just happens to be a Salem police detective. However, Lani has to be careful because last time she helped Kristen, she put her career and own freedom at risk. It took Eli a while, but he decided not to turn her into Commissioner Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).

With that being said, the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest confirms that Lani will make compromises, and eventually, Eli finds out.

It is teased that when Eli finds out that Lani is helping Kristen again, he is furious. He can’t believe the extreme lengths that Lani is willing to go for her best friend. The marriage is going to be tested and Eli will be put in a tough spot. Not just in regards to their careers, but their marriage and the future of their family will also be in jeopardy.
