In any case, we are really impressed with Godfrey staying away from alcohol, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, which was stressful for so many people.

On Twitter, Godfrey wrote, “I quit drinking 9 months ago yesterday. I just had to say it out loud. It feels good.”

Fans reacted by celebrating the milestone with Godfrey. Some wanted to know why she decided to give up drinking, but so far, Godfrey hasn’t responded to those comments. And to be honest, that might be a bit too personal and she may wish to keep her reasons private, which is totally understandable.

As for Godfrey’s character on the NBC soap, Sarah is currently trying to deal with Xander Cook Kiriakis’ (Paul Telfer) shenanigans. He is scheming with Jan Spears (Heather Lindell), who had Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) arrested. Sarah was not happy and basically threatened to leave Xander if he didn’t put his head on straight. While he made certain promises to her, he won’t keep them. It is teased that in a few weeks, Xander is back at it again trying to get rid of his competition.
