On Twitter, the DOOL veteran announced that he was taking part in a special project that he is really excited about. On Saturday, August 22, he is going to be a reader for The Ray Bradbury Read-a-Thon. Now, nearly everyone knows the name, Ray Bradbury. He was an icon in the science fiction genre. Reynolds wrote,

DOOL News – Fahrenheit 451

The Bradbury Centennial is one of many libraries that is live-streaming a reading of Bradbury’s most well-known book, Fahrenheit 451. It will take place between August 22 and September 5. The book sold millions of copies and will be read by famous people, such as Reynolds and William Shatner (Star Trek).

Now, Days of Our Lives fans might be wondering how Ray Bradbury is tied into the NBC soap opera. Well, SoapHub reported that his third daughter, Bettina Bradbury, was a writer for the soap back in the day. She also wrote for All My Children, One Life To Live, Santa Barbara, and As The World Turns. She passed away on January 13, 2019, at the age of 63. Her father, Ray Bradbury, died on June 5, 2012, when he was 91 years old.

It’s interesting that Reynolds is honoring someone in real life at this point in time. This is because his character on DOOL, Mayor Abe Carver, is honoring Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) for their heroic acts in Salem.

He is also working with an interesting character, Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow). Despite the two not exactly seeing eye-to-eye, there might be a bit of a romance brewing. We will have to keep watching the NBC soap opera to see what happens next.
