NBC Days of Our Lives star Camila Banus (Gabi DiMera) proves once again why she is the best in the show, especially when it comes to the daytime television world. The actress, who just celebrated a decade in Salem, opens up about playing her character on the hit NBC soap. Here’s what she has to say.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the beautiful brunette, who hails from Miami, Fla., opened up about her last decade on the show along with some of her most memorable scenes. When asked about her favorite storyline, Camil said that the one that stands out the most was when her character first hated but then fell in love with Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) but then lost him when he was tragically shot in the crossfire by Lani Price (Sal Stowers).

As many DOOL fans know, Gabi spent the last year trying to get her revenge on Lani and everyone else in Salem who has done her wrong in the past. Luckily, the arrival of Stefan look-alike Jake Lambert (also played by Brandon Barash) has proven to be a great distraction for her.

Camila also opened up about her favorite scene so far. Explaining how much she loves action movies, she says it was all of the times that her character was on her death bed or in a near-death experience. There were so many in the past, that we’ve all lost count of them, right?

Now, as far as her favorite Gabi trait, Camila puts it this way, “One of my favorite things that Gabi does is her infamous bitch-slaps. She goes in there and gives those slaperoos every once in a while. She’s very free-handed on those.”

DOOL News – What’s Next For Gabi Hernandez?

Camila also opened up about being a part of the Hernandez family in Salem. She said, “I think my favorite thing about being a part of the Hernandez family is just the way that all of us are very, very comfortable with one another. They are just so much fun to be around, especially Galen Gering [Rafe Hernandez]. We have such a wonderful rapport together.”
