Days of Our Lives Comings and Goings: Vivian Alamain Comeback – Robin Strasser Shows Her Support For Louise Sorel

It’s been revealed that fan-favorite Louise Sorel is reprising her role as Vivian Alamain on “Days of Our Lives.” Robin Strasser, a long-time friend of Sorel, has filled in for the actress this year after the latter declined an invitation to return. Strasser couldn’t be happier for her friend’s return.

She said in a tweet, “@rswanxxx TY! MUCH transpired on #DAYS it’s become a HAZE;-) #LouiseSorel called-Surprised 2B doing #DOOL again-I was thrilled #Tweeted-DUH-didn’t know it was a secret:(She came to lunch at my #LA house-she looked FAB-always does:)-I prolly bored her w/my #SupportThe4 pep talk:)”

“When #DAYS called me saying #LouiseSorel did NOT want to return to play Vivian again-I believed them-The offer was take it or leave it/get here in 5 days! Dang-I grabbed it:(To my shame-I didn’t check w/Louise 1st-NOW I’m troubled that I’ve been a BAD friend-that’s saddening…” she continued.

Strasser’s other acting credits include “Dorian” and “Passions.” The actress stayed on “Days of Our Lives” for about 15 months until she left town after her son met an ugly fate. She then took to Twitter to update her fans that she won’t be returning to the show.

DOOL Spoilers – The Return of the Original Vivian Alamain

The news about Sorel’s return broke after former “Santa Barbara” costar Nicolas Coster revealed in a podcast that Sorel wasn’t able to attend a Santa Barbara reunion cruise back in November because she was taping at “Days of Our Lives.” Given the soap’s advanced taping schedule, Sorel is expected to return to the screen mid-summer 2020. It’s just in time for Brand Barash’ anticipated return to DOOL as Stefan DiMera, who was presumed to be dead in late 2019.

Sorel last played Vivian in May 2018, after she was shot by Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) in the DiMera mansion. She was then revived from the dead by no other than Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay). The character returned during the latter part of 2019, and that time, Strasser took over the role.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – What Bring’s Vivian Back To Salem?

After Stefan’s supposed death, Strasser’s version of Vivian left Salem in mourning. Viewers have to tune in to find out what brings Sorel’s version of Vivian back to town. But it’s most likely be about her son.
