Days of Our Lives spoilers further say that Eduardo has gotten mixed up with the wrong people and his enemies want to kill his family. That’s why he tries to get both Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) to leave with him. He’s trying to save them from what he is sure is doom and gloom if they don’t leave immediately.

The actor further states that he didn’t know he would be taking both Galen and Gabi off the canvas with him when he was asked to come back to DOOL. He explains, “I got the call from my agent saying, DAYS is interested in having you back to do this little arc of story. My first response was a complete celebration. And then when I found out what it was, I felt kind of lousy about it on a certain level. But this is the nature of the beast, especially at this point in time.”
