COVID-19 has caused a global health crisis and countries all over the world are implementing new rules and guidelines to stem the spread of the coronavirus. While many people fear for their health and safety, Counting On star Joy-Anna Duggar seemed unfazed by the pandemic.

The Duggar family looks like they’re not concerned about the coronavirus, and that includes Joy-Anna. The 22-year old reality television star, who is pregnant with her second child with husband Austin Forsyth, was seen laughing off coronavirus in an interview with two guys who call themselves Freedomist. The video was uploaded on YouTube on Friday.

One of the interviewers asked the couple if they heard about the coronavirus. Joy-Anna laughed at the question, which sent many of their fans into an uproar.

“I think almost everybody has,” she said.

Although it seems like she was laughing at the absurdity of the question, critics called her out for taking the pandemic lightly. Fans were also furious about the context and not just because of her ridiculous reaction to the question.

Joy-Anna is pregnant with her second child and as such, she’s expected to be more careful and observe social distancing. Unfortunately, she can be seen sitting a few inches away from the two men whom she barely knows. This comes after the fact that the Duggar clan continues to disregard the social distancing rules that have been set to prevent the spread of the virus.

Joy-Anna didn’t say much during the interview but critics were taken aback by her cavalier attitude towards the pandemic that has claimed thousands of lives in the United States alone.

“This is devastating. Pls know you still need to physical distance by 6’. You’re all way too close together,” one commenter said.

“The last thing this community is going to need is to be hit with a surge of COVID cases, six feet rule not being enforced!” another added.

Not all fans furious at her. Some of her followers defended Joy-Anne and said that the video was filmed a month ago. However, one commenter asked why were they talking about quarantine if the video was filmed a month ago?

The Duggars aren’t that concerned about the virus but of course, they won’t say so publicly. However, their constant disregard of the guidelines set in place to control the spread of COVID-19 speaks volume of how they really feel about the pandemic.
