He already knows how upset Douglas is about the wedding and it’s because Thomas is instilling the fear that he will lose “mommy Hope.” Douglas is freaking out and begging Hope to make it stop and to marry his father. This is exactly what Thomas wants and Douglas is playing right into his hand.

In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Matthew Atkinson admitted that Thomas doesn’t view his relationship with Zoe as anything serious. This is despite the fact that he proposed marriage to her. He isn’t stopping to think about how being manipulated and dumped will affect the model.

“I would say the way that Thomas feels about Zoe is more like he is dating someone that he enjoys spending time with but doesn’t really see a future with… his eyes are still 100 percent focused on Hope. He’s still in love with her. In this situation, he’s finding another way to get at Hope…”
