Bold And The Beautiful News Updates: John McCook Sounds Off On Those B&B Flashback Episodes

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that the cast of the CBS sudser has enjoyed watching the flashback episodes just as much as the fans have.

John McCook (Eric Forrester) is one of only two original cast members still on the show, the other being Katherine Kelly Lang who plays Brooke Forrester.

The handsome and talented actor has logged 33 incredible years on the show and he recently talked to Soap Opera Digest about what it been like to take a walk down memory lane.

John has many wonderful memories of his time on the show as you might expect, and we have some of one of his remembrances for you here.

In particular, John talked about the time the show went on location to Catalina Island, a tourist destination about 90 minutes from L.A. by boat.

In the episode, he and Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) were on a getaway and John fondly remembers the bike riding scene the two enjoyed.

Sheila first appeared on B&B’s sister soap The Young and the Restless. She was a vixen of the first order, an evil villain at the same time she was a sexy seductress—just ask Eric!

When asked what he thought about the flashback episodes in general, John said, “I think it’s brilliant.” He said he believes the concept was s huge success, noting that the show carefully thought out the idea with theme weeks such as fight week, fashion week, and wedding week.

In particular, he believes that “the fans have really enjoyed it,” both the long time fans and those who are newer to the show. “I think it has worked out very, very well,” he concluded.

The show has triumphantly returned to the airwaves, broadcasting new episodes the week of July 20. During that time fans were treated to an all-new storyline which looks to be epic, a motorcycle accident involving Eric’s granddaughter Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

No doubt we will see a concerned Eric react to Steffy’s predicament, and perhaps he will get an expanded story of his own in the near future? His marriage to Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) is on the rocks, is there any chance Sheila Carter and her bike could be waiting in the wings?
