’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Trouble For Brandon And Julia As His Parents Sabotage His Romance

TLC’s “90 Day Fiancé” stars Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina are in for some trouble, it would appear from his overprotective parents, Ron and Betty Gibbs. Their overprotectiveness and ultra-conservative views could actually sabotage his romance!

TLC 90 Day Fiancé Spoilers – Brandon Wants Alone Time With Julia But His Parents Say No

Brandon wants some alone time with Julia when she comes to the US, but his ultra-conservative Virginian parents have plans of their own. Ron and Betty insist on taking Brandon to the airport to pick up Julia, to ensure that no hanky-panky goes on between them.

Betty was even intrusive and controlling enough to set up a gynecologist appointment for Julia, to make sure that she was on birth control if in spite of their morality policing efforts, the young couple did manage to hook up! Julia has no clue what the living situation will be when she arrives.

Brandon still lives on the family farm outside of Dinwiddie, Virginia, which his dad has insisted he take over when he dies, and he and Julia will be living there. They will be sleeping in separate bedrooms. Brandon, respecting the fact that it is his parents’ house and it beats spending money to put her up in a hotel, was waiting to find the right time to bring this up to her. This is not Julia’s first time meeting them – when Brandon was overseas his parents flew out to make it a family trip when they heard he had found a girlfriend in Russia. They undoubtedly would have preferred a farm girl from Virginia, since they had set him up with a farmer based dating app – which he never used!

TLC 90 Day Fiancé Spoilers – Brandon And Julia’s Time Together And Activities Will Be Closely Monitored

Brandon and Julia’s time together as well as their activities will be closely monitored. Whether Betty will set up secret baby monitors in their bedrooms has not yet been revealed, but it wouldn’t be surprising! She already has set up a whole itinerary of places for Brandon and Julia to visit in the area – chaperoned by herself and Ron! Just the fact Julia will be living on a farm in rural Virginia will be culture shock for her. She is a city girl and not only that, she is a dancer – a go – go dancer! Whether Brandon had ever told them her profession is unknown!

Ron and Betty turn the picking up of Julia at the airport into a family vacation in Washington, DC, where the closest airport is. That is a 148-mile one way trip; an airport in Richmond or Virginia Beach likely would have been much closer, but in that part of the country it is entirely possible that the only international airport would be in DC! Dinwiddie is in southern Virginia and is much closer to the North Carolina state line than it is to the District of Columbia. Apparently, the elder portion of Gibbs family had never been to Washington, DC and so Betty set up a tour for a family vacation including poor Julia, who had flown for hours and just wanted to get some sleep!
