TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé-Happily Ever After star Debbie Johnson might have some competition for the most overbearing mother in the 90 Day Fiancé universe: Betty Gibbs!

TLC 90 Day Fiancé Spoilers – Betty Seems To Have Debbie Beat By A Country Mile When It Comes To Control

Betty Gibbs, the Dinwiddie, Virginia woman who is the mother of Brandon Gibbs seems to have Debbie Johnson beat by a country mile when it comes to control! Viewers will recall that at least Debbie never kept Colt Johnson on a tight leash and forced him and his girlfriends to sleep in separate rooms! Both Larissa Dos Santos Lima and Jess Caroline complained about Debbie’s interference in their relationships with Colt.

But Colt was able to be single and mingle and stay with his girlfriends in hotels and travel by himself when he met them. That is not the case with Betty and Brandon. Both of his parents insisted on traveling to meet Russian beauty Julia Trubkina and her family in Iceland before Brandon could even think about a K1 visa for her! Betty seems like a sweet woman, but unlike Debbie’s insinuating herself in between Colt and his girlfriends, Betty not only seeks to control Brandon, but Julia as well!

Betty definitely wears the overalls in the family who lives on a farm near Dinwiddie! Brandon works as an exterminator but seems to be making lots of money doing it, to be able to afford trips overseas. His father wants him to take over the family farm when he gets too old to take care of it or passes away. It sounds like the Gibbs family, but especially Betty, has Brandon’s life planned out for him!

90 Day Fiancé Spoilers – Debbie Johnson Never Set Up Gynecologist Appointments For Colt’s Girlfriends

Debbie certainly never set up gynecologist appointments for Colt’s girlfriends like Betty did for Julia, on the way to the airport to pick her up at that! Betty wanted to make sure that Brandon and Julia didn’t get a chance to have any hanky panky, but if she couldn’t do that she was going to make sure that he wouldn’t make her a grandma with Julia! Brandon’s parents don’t seem to think that he has enough sense to make any decisions on his own, which was evident when they set up a profile for him on a dating website for American farm girls!

He managed to meet Julia through a friend while video chatting and he saw Julia dancing in the background. They met through that connection and five months and one overseas trip on Brandon’s part later they got engaged in Iceland. That’s the trip that his parents insisted on taking with him to meet her parents to make sure they approved of her and her family! Brandon and Julia had to endure a sightseeing trip that his parents wanted to take while in Washington, DC after picking an exhausted Julia up at the airport – maybe Betty figured Julia would be too tired for sex that way!

Brandon had let it slip that when he and Julia had sex – presumably while they met on the first trip that his parents weren’t on – he didn’t use condoms and she didn’t believe in birth control. So that is why when she knew Julia would be in their car she made sure she would be at a gynecologist’s office post haste to get on birth control! But she and her husband Ron may not have had Julia and Brandon on as tight of a leash as they thought, considering some previews of the new season show Julia checking a pregnancy test strip and the two of them enjoying a naked romp at night that ended in a hot tub!
