Christine (Lauralee Bell) was opposed to Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) rush on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But she couldn’t stop Detective Rosales from charging Victor (Eric Braeden) with the murder of J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill), even though no body exists and a time of death can’t be established.
Y&R fans know, as does Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), her three cohorts, and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that Victor is innocent. The word that ended the last sentence and the ‘Moustache’ aren’t often paired, which is partially why Rey feels certain that Victor is guilty.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor’s Charge Backfires
The charge will backfire in Rey’s face, regardless of what’s learned about Nikki. Though ‘Niktor’ supporters know that Mrs. Newman won’t allow the love of her life to take the bum rap. She’s to blame for not reporting what amounted to her defense of Victoria (Amelia Heinle).
One would think that Nikki will get word to Victor about her being the accidental assailant. That’s momentarily difficult, considering his status. But soapy circumstances can be worked into the script to enlighten Y&R’s anti-hero.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nikki Accuses Christine
Nikki wasn’t wrong when she told Christine that Mrs. Williams has been trying to pin something on Victor for the past few years. Viewers noted that Paul’s (Doug Davidson) name was conspicuous by its absence, as he was fully on board with Chris in targeting Victor. ‘Pristine’s’ doing so forced J.T.’s attempt to gather information on Victor, which led to their brutal, physical conflict, both murder attempts against Victor, all of which fully aided Mr. Hellstrom’s descent into madness and eventual, apparent death.

Hopefully Y&R’s backstage changes will allow Davidson to return for the wrap of this storyline, or in the very near future. In the meantime, Christine will have to deal with Rey’s major overstep. All the while, Victor will be pushing to clear his name and also helping to defend Nikki’s life.
Somewhat lost in this thick storyline is the mysterious identity of whoever is actually targeting Nikki and the coverup crew. Here’s hoping a plausible and satisfying conclusion is forthcoming.
