Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Niktor’s Dark Valentine’s Day – Nikki and Victor’s Lives Disrupted

Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) act was fully selfless on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Just as she protected her daughter from potential death, now Nikki is attempting to enhance the life of her husband. Unwilling to allow Victor (Eric Braeden) to take the legal fall for her actions, Nikki’s admission of guilt has created a stark St. Valentine’s Day for ‘Niktor’.

She couldn’t take it anymore. What was at first theoretical became very real when Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) forced their will upon Victor, handcuffing the innocent man and readying to walk him out to the awaiting tax payer paid cruiser, where Genoa City’s most famous man, and wrongly assumed murderer, would be processed and thrown in a jail cell for the umpteenth time in this character’s daytime life.

How many major global corporations survive after their founders and chief executive officers are arrested on many occasions? Soap fans must think that such scenarios are deeply implausible. However, Nick (Joshua Morrow) did take advantage of Newman Enterprises’ obvious vulnerability and even exploit it in creating Dark Horse. So, there’s that.

Back in ‘Niktor’s’ reality, Nikki is talking herself into a box that definitely makes her already perilous situation all the more worse. Rey has convinced himself that Victor is still the bad guy, believing that Nikki is lying to cover her husband’s hide, or as some type of trial delay tactic.

All of the above means that ‘Niktor’s’ Valentine’s celebration can’t be had. Y&R’s greatest of all-time couple should be enjoying their golden years with a wonderful day at the new set Ranch, or by sailing around the world in 80 days, or some other grand gesture Victor would have offered.

Instead, the ‘Moustache’ still wears an electronic device that keeps him confined in his home by the authorities. Nikki is alone, behind bars, in the local lockup. Her immediate fate uncertain and no way to know what comes next, while also knowing that whoever is targeting the Newman family is still on the loose.

No box of truffles to share, or mega-count carrot diamond earrings for Nikki to wear while she and Victor watch the sunset across the rustic mid-winter’s Wisconsin landscape. The contrast of that calming scene exists because the J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) storyline rolls on toward the next holiday on Y&R.
