Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Katie’s Invisible Friend – Bizarre Storyline Twist

Katie (Sienna Mercuri) has an invisible friend who’s actually real on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The latest bizarre storyline twist takes the J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) arc in yet another direction, as the need for a climax is further reinforced.

Enough already! Let’s wrap this up, is clearly the collective plea being mouthed by Y&R fans from Florida to Washington state, from Texas to Michigan, from Hollywoodland to New York and all soapy watch points in between.

If this storyline reaches St. Valentine’s Day it will have run for ten months, which is incredible. And what are viewers learning now that Katie is being pursued by some shadow assailant?

Newman Ranch security has not only been breached, some unknown person is roaming about the innards of the ‘Moustache’s’ compound with impunity. That must mean a staff member is the culprit. How else could a human being move about this shifting set without being noticed by Victor (Eric Braeden), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and their staff, but be seen by ‘Villy’s’ only biological child?

Assuming that a Ranch staff member is the villain doesn’t necessarily preclude this deranged individual from being unknown. Any one of a number of side characters from Y&R’s past could be working in disguise as part of a plan to have framed Victor and torment the coverup crew.

Ian (Ray Wise) and Patty (Stacy Haiduk) were partners in crime during their last mutual stints in Genoa City. Either (or both?) posses the moxie and loathing of the Newman family to be so motivated now. But how someone like this, or another forgotten bad guy, or gal, would be tied into seeking payback for J.T.’s death would be a stretch.

What’s more likely is that an individual, with a heretofore unknown connection to J.T., learned he’d been killed and is exacting revenge for it. Other than that, only someone like Mackenzie (Kelly Kruger), or a blood relative of J.T. would seem motivated to specifically target his killer, Nikki, and her husband, Victor, in order to further squeeze Mrs. Newman.

Y&R’s devoted fan base is deserving of a fantastic storyline climax. Along with that will need to come some explanation regarding why Katie, an innocent child, had to be brought into this increasingly complex tale.
