Nick thinks Phyllis is just biased when it comes to his dad. He’s certain Victor’s been set up. That leads to suspicions from Phyllis about what Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) spilled. At Crimson Lights, Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) gets a check from Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). She’s thankful for Arturo’s help with the furnace, but he comes up with excuses for her to use another repairman next time.
Over with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez), they make love and discuss why they’re so good for each other. However, Mia seems to have a different view later. After she convinces Arturo to stop by, she admits she can’t stop thinking about the other night. Arturo starts ranting about how nothing like that can ever happen again and insists that they have to move on.
At the GCPD, Rey talks to Sharon about their awkward motel stay. He confesses that Mia found out they were there together, but she doesn’t know they slept in the same room and bed. Rey praises the trust between them now and doesn’t want to screw this up. He vows not to be like his father.

Nick also has a chat with Rey about the arson. His newfound belief in Victor’s innocence surprises Rey, who feels like there’s more to the story here. Afterward, Nick returns to Phyllis and makes up with her. She’s still curious about how Nikki convinced him that Victor didn’t kill J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill). Nick argues that Nikki knows Victor best, so Phyllis accepts that for now.
During a warm embrace, Phyllis’ expression seems uneasy. She must know Nikki’s been running her mouth and could be setting up more drama. Meanwhile, Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) gets an unexpected visit from Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard). She feels like he was worried because of her recent letter. Lily isn’t interested in talking about the future when Cane brings it up. It’s just too hard for her.
However, Lily does have some good news to pass along. She’s teaching a GED class in prison, so at least that’s given her a sense of purpose. When Lily cuts the visit short to teach the class, Cane isn’t pleased. Lily is just as upset since she feels like Cane isn’t really listening or supporting her. Cane insists he’s not the one walking away, but Lily just calls the guard and heads out of the visiting area.
Cane tries to stop Lily and presumably patch things up a bit, but his plan doesn’t pan out. “The Young and the Restless” spoilers say Lily’s stint in the slammer will continue to take a toll! We’ll give you updates as other Y&R details and rumors emerge. Stay tuned to see what’s next on the CBS soap.
