Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday, March 7: Mia Infuriated by Rey’s Love Confession Testimony – Kyle Gets Warning from Phyllis

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, March 7, tease that Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) will carry out her latest defense strategy. In court, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) takes the stand and admits he was at Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) house on Valentine’s Day. He also admits that’s where he heard her confession.

Rey talks about finding the phone bill and confronting Sharon with the 911 call on it. Despite Rey’s attempts to wiggle out of it, Brittany makes Rey discuss his love profession to Sharon. She argues that he used it to coerce information out of Sharon, but Rey insists that’s not the case. Brittany contends that Rey must really love Sharon then, but he sticks to his story of being a happily married man.

Of course, Brittany doesn’t think Rey can have it both ways. She returns to the idea that Rey manipulated Sharon emotionally and had been building to this for a while. Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) also grills Rey, who notes that Sharon declared her love to him as well. Rey denies forcing Sharon to confess in any way and ultimately steps off the stand.

Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez), who’s been fuming in the courtroom, approaches Rey for a confrontation, but he has to dash off to the police station. That’s where Christine rips into him over how bad this looks for the GCPD. Rey’s sorry for mishandling things and offers to resign.

At home, Mia takes a swig of beer before she remembers she’s faking a pregnancy. Once Rey shows up, Mia plays that up for sympathy. She suggests she was so upset that she nearly drank. Mia is furious over Rey’s love for Sharon and the fact that everyone now knows about it.

Across town, Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) is surprised to hear Summer Newman (Hunter King) is engaged to Kyle Abbott (Michael

Mealor). She quizzes Summer about what brought this on all of a sudden. Phyllis doesn’t get what the rush is or why Kyle’s willing to move on from Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle). Summer downplays Phyllis’ concerns and suggests love is a good enough reason to marry.

At the hospital, Kyle sits near Lola and insists she’s going to make it. Finding her a liver donor is what mattered, and now she’s got one. Kyle feels like he can finally wrap his head around love and the sacrifices it often requires. He just wants Lola to live, recover and fulfill all her big dreams.

Later, Phyllis wants to hear Kyle’s side of the engagement story. He backs Summer up and hopes for Phyllis’ blessing. She’s OK with the engagement if Summer’s happy, but she doesn’t want her daughter to get hurt. Phyllis indicates that Summer’s not as strong as she seems, so it’d break her heart if Kyle backed out.

Over with Kerry Johnson (Alice Hunter), she hears Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) pitch. He wants the inside scoop on all things Phyllis, but Kerry is wary of betraying her. However, Kerry ultimately agrees as long as something’s in it for her. She wants a written offer before they proceed.

Back with the courtroom bunch, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) aren’t happy about Sharon’s confession, which set this trial drama in motion. Michael eventually speaks to Victoria and Nikki about what’s next. They need a new tactic, so he’s going to put Victoria on the stand and let her testify about the abuse she endured.
