Young And The Restless Spoilers: Thad Luckinbill Teases J.T.’s End And His Future At Y&R

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Thad Luckinbill will finish the J.T. Hellstrom plot with a bang. After almost a year of this somewhat long storyline, it is finally coming to close. Thad Luckinbill spoke to CBS Soaps In Depth about his return and if he would ever consider coming back to Young and the Restless. Here’s what you need to know about what’s ahead.

This week, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will hunt down J.T. Hellstrom and force him to pay for abusing Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and harassing Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). The men decide they will stand up for the Newman women and bring Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) in on the plan.

Thad revealed that when he left last year, he had a hunch that he would be back eventually. He wasn’t sure if they were going to write J.T. alive or dead, but he thought that he would probably be back. If for nothing else, he might appear in flashback scenes. However, that wasn’t the case.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Luckinbill Loved The Storyline

Josh Griffith called Luckinbill to return for a strong finish. The actor said Josh wanted to end the long storyline and he wanted to give the fans a finish they would love.

And, most importantly – J.T. will not be killed off, so he could come back if that’s the route they choose.

One thing Thad liked about the storyline was that it was out of character for J.T. He said that Hellstrom was a character that the fans loved and they remember his love for Victoria and Reed (Tristian Lake Leabu).

However, the new J.T., the abusive father and husband, was someone they didn’t know and it was terrifying.

As an actor, Luckinbill said that this kind of role is an entertainer’s dream. He was able to take the material, make it his own, and completely change the viewers’ minds about J.T.
