Young & The Restless

Young And The Restless Spoilers: Should Lily Give Cane Another Chance?

Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) have two important conversations on the Young and the Restless. The first had Devon suggesting to Lily that she take her time making personal decisions. The second had the siblings sharing intense emotions regarding their father’s passing.

Y&R fans, along with the entire entertainment world, know that the great Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters) passed away in early February due to hypertrophic heart disease.

Now, the character he played since 1991 has also passed away, which naturally impacts the lives of his children, other family members, and the many friends he knew during his life in Genoa City.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Lily Winters Released Early

Lily was just released from prison early. The good work she did with fellow inmates can continue if she so chooses. But in order to accept a job offer the warden made, Mrs. Ashby needs to move many hours away from the place her family called home to the facility she just left.

Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard), like his wife, was emotionally damaged during the period of Lily’s incarceration. During that storyline time he made a series of mistakes that had him kiss Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) on multiple occasions. Both he and Vickie weren’t and aren’t involved, as each person wrote what happened off due to personal pressures.

The decision to end Lane was something that Lily concluded while she was in jail. Cane first learned of it during her final weeks behind bars. He asked his wife to wait until she was released before expecting any definitive answer from him. In the meantime, Cane has refused to sign the divorce papers.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Can Cane Ashby Prove Himself?

Cane’s whispered request into Lily’s ear, that she give him a chance to prove himself and reestablish trust, came just before Devon’s news that Neil had died. After hugging her brother, the twins, and then breaking down, Lily embraced Cane. That underscores the bond between them.

Devon’s advice proved prescient, as Lily will first need to work through the stages of grief and then consider if she wants to continue her life with Cane. That will take time and surely represents the type of advice Neil would want Lily to thoughtfully consider.
