The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Tells Nick The Truth While Distancing Herself From Adam

Spoilers say that Phyllis will tell Nick that Adam asked her to seduce Nick in order to give him a chance with Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan). This information will leave Nick reeling. What’s more, Phyllis finds out that Adam has been invited to the Newman’s Christmas festivities, which will complicate matters even more.

Speaking to CBS Soaps in Depth in a new interview, The Young and the Restless head writer Josh Griffith puts it this way, “Phyllis wants nothing to do with Adam, including spending Christmas with him. Phyllis was a friend to Adam when he needed one the most, so she was not happy when Adam tried to rope her into his plot.”

With that said, Phyllis decides to rescind her RSVP without arousing any unnecessary suspicion. Griffin adds, “Phyllis is appreciative of Nick’s invitation and doesn’t want to ruin his Christmas plan, so she decides to keep quiet and not reveal her reason for canceling. Nick and Phyllis were able to get through their recent conflicts and resume their long-standing friendship, which is based on mutual respect. They both appreciate their shared history that has led to them knowing each other very well.”

With that said, it appears as though Phyllis will be relying on Nick more and more as she tries to distance herself from Adam and his two-timing ways. However, at the same time Phyllis’ confession will force Nick to take matters into her own hands and of course, start another all-out war between these two brothers.
