Afterward, Arturo frets about taking on more responsibilities. He wants to do right by Mia and the baby. They talk about moving to Miami before Mia points out they’ll have to mull over baby names. At Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) place, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) brings his own set of results and opens them with her. He’s relieved, but Sharon senses some disappointment as well.
Rey’s always wanted to be a dad, but he still feels like Arturo was the best outcome in this case. After Sharon and Rey make love, she suggests fatherhood will happen for him and contends that he should spend some time with Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind). At the tack house, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) gets another message from his secret partner. It says to lay low and promises details will follow.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) takes Adam over to Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) house later. He’s got an idea on how to jog Adam’s memory. While Adam waits in the car, Victor pushes Nick to stop ignoring the issue. Adam walks in and wonders what issue might be. He learns Nick has been raising Christian Newman (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) and that Victor wants them to meet today.
Adam understands Nick’s outrage, so he leaves the choice in his brother’s hands. Nick relents and brings Christian out to “Uncle Adam.” Adam talks to Christian, but Nick makes sure the meeting’s kept short. Afterward, Adam lets Victor know that he didn’t feel anything. No great burst of feeling came rushing back.
Back at the tack house, Adam’s done with all this drama. He gets why Nick and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) hate him, but Victor doesn’t want his son to throw in the towel. Adam insists on heading back to Las Vegas, so Victor heads out. He seems concerned as he steps outside.
Meanwhile, Adam gets his things ready to go before he hears a knock at the door. When he opens it, he’s met with a bullet to the abdomen. Over with Nick, he pulls up some texts he received from Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan). She tried to get in touch several times in the past few months, so Nick considers reaching out.
At Crimson Lights, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) lets Billy know that she doesn’t want to get married. She doesn’t think marriage guarantees anything and isn’t eager to put a label on what they have. Billy eventually agrees that just reuniting their family and building a life together is enough. Victoria doesn’t take marriage off the table permanently, but they settle on this decision for now.
Next, Billy and Victoria toss around ideas for a getting-back-together celebration. They also determine that a private celebration tonight is in order. After checking in a suite, Victoria and Billy make love. It sounds like these two are finally on the same page, so let’s hope they keep it up.
