“Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, March 29, tease that a shocking discovery is on the way. At Jabot, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) opens a letter and is floored by the contents. He realizes he has to get in touch with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) right away.

At the athletic club, Jack talks to Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) about Kerry Johnson’s (Alice Hunter) tendency to keep secrets. He notes that she’s lied to him, so trust has been difficult to build. After Billy calls, Jack tracks him down and they discuss Dominique Caroll. Billy explains that the letter addressed to Kerry’s intern contained startling information. Their Jack of Hearts patent already went to another cosmetic company.

Billy insists that Kerry was either deceived by her intern or in on it with her. Afterward, Jack speaks with Kerry, who admits she used the name Dominique Caroll to pull this off. Kerry assures Jack that more revelations are ahead and calls what she’s done “spectacular.”

Back with Billy, he’s horrified to discover that all their recent patents have been rejected, not just Jack of Hearts. Kerry makes sure everyone’s on hand for an emergency board meeting, where Jack tells everyone that she’s Dominique. When he adds that Kerry has a secret partner, a smug Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) saunters in.

At the Abbott mansion, Summer Newman (Hunter King) decides she’ll tell her family about the liver transplant surgery. She urges Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to keep up his doting behavior around them. At Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) place, he’s taken aback to hear about the donor procedure and figures out Summer did it for Kyle. Nick wants to make sure Kyle actually loves Summer, so Kyle reassures him.

Next, Nick decides to have a man-to-man talk with Kyle. He wants Kyle to understand that if Summer gets hurt, there’ll be consequences. Kyle once again offers reassurance as they toss back some scotch. Once Summer returns, she receives an amazing wedding gift from her father. Nick reveals that if they’re on board, he plans to build Kyle and Summer a house on some property he owns.

Meanwhile, Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) gets a visit from Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). Abby brings along some bone broth and they chat about the problematic men in their lives. Lola learns Abby still wants her to be the chef at her new restaurant. She’s glad they’re not letting Kyle and Arturo Rosales’ (Jason Canela) actions cause any drama between them.

Abby makes her way over to Dark Horse later. She lets Nick know that from now on, she has to be all about this restaurant. Abby reveals that she’ll be devoting all her time to it, so he’ll suggest he’ll miss her at the office. It’s clear that Abby’s becoming obsessed with her latest project. Will proving herself give her the satisfaction she craves? Does she need to truly address her heartbreak instead?
