Young and the Restless Spoilers: Calvin’s Death Makes Chelsea Most Eligible Bachelorette – Will She Choose Nick Or Adam?

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Chelsea Boudreau (Melissa Claire Egan) is leery of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), which is why she reconnected with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) upon returning to Genoa City, Wisconsin. It’s also why she called Nick first after her husband died.

Calvin Boudreau’s (John Burke) death is real, unlike Adam’s apparent demises in 2014 and 2016. The result is that Chelsea now has choices.

Living in Louisiana was fine, for awhile. The story Chelsea told Nick about how she ended up in that classic southern state was a bit sketchy. With whatever actually happened, the guy Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach) initially liked came to marry her daughter. With that gentleman’s death comes opportunity.

Adam wants his wife back. He sees Calvin’s passing as a sign that Chadam should reunite, but doesn’t know about what Mr. Boudreau intended regarding Connor Boudreau (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois).

In his final exchange with Chelsea, Calvin told his wife that he felt Connor should be with his biological father, Adam, so that they could start their own family. Calvin also made a direct statement about how Chelsea had given up her first-born son. Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare) is Chelsea’s rarely referenced child, who Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) fathered and Vickie Newman (Amelia Heinle) adopted.

Burke’s short-term character was obviously introduced into the storyline to serve as a plot vehicle that helps to explain some of Chelsea’s time away from GC. Calvin’s permanent exit allows Chelsea to resume whatever element of her life she wants to live. Fans would be right to assume that Connor will soon follow, as he wasn’t seen while Calvin was present.

Nick is single. He kicked Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) out of his life in recent months. There’s little if any chance of a Phick reunion now, as Nick doesn’t trust Phyllis.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Does Chelsea Belong With Adam Or Nick?

Chelsea was with Nick before she left town in a rush. As Y&R fans recall, Egan’s exit from the cast compelled her alter ego’s reversion to a con artist shortly before she left Wisconsin.

It’s good to see Egan back, as she’s always performed excellently and her character is ever-engaging. With brother battle lines drawn, it makes sense that Chelsea would also pick a side at this time. So it looks like Adam will be waging two custody fights, with the other involving Christian Newman’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) control. Chelsea’s influence will be crucial where both of Adam’s sons future lives are concerned.
