The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that the long-awaited Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) recast and reveal radically shifts Genoa City’s focus as of now. With the just-ended J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) drama behind them, many residents of this famous Wisconsin setting are moving forward, because they have to.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) was facing life behind bars. She seemed certain to receive a very long prison sentence for the murder of Luckinbill’s turned infamous character. But with him being alive, all charges against Nikki were dropped, freeing her to pursue Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As for the Mustache, he thought his namesake was dead. Victor Adam Newman, Junior, was seemingly killed in an explosion nearly three years ago. He used to look like Justin Hartley, now falling backwards in age to resemble the aforementioned Grossman.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman Made Peace
Victor made peace with the offspring he arguably fought more fiercely with than Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). And that’s quite the claim. Now, the head of the ever-embattled Newman clan asks Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) for help in unlocking his undead son’s mind. Okay.
Sharon, wow, that’s a throwback connection when referencing Adam. She originally paired with him when he was embodied by Michael Muhney. Wronged as wrong could be when he stole her second-born daughter, Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind). She later came to love him like no other, except for his brother Nick.
Just as Sharon’s gaze focused upon Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), she’s been reeled back to the Newman abyss. At least Shey enters the fray together. Possibly that gives this engaging couple a chance to survive?
Old friends, like Paul Williams (Doug Davidson), and returning faces, like Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Newman), and surely, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) in time, will be written into what is becoming Y&R’s mega-revival story.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Challenging Task Is Ahead
This classic steamer has a challenging task ahead. No matter how good Grossman proves to be, a segment within the audience wanted Muhney hired back.
Some feel that Adam’s past resurrection was enough and may choose not to invest the time required to fully appreciate this five-day-a-week serial. So choosing to bring back a man who twice was a lead character, in hopes that Adam will become so again represents a major risk.
As with all things soap, hardcore viewers will keep watching. But casual fans, those who glance at the show when it fits their schedule, or return when something big is going on will again prove to be a key demographic.
