The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will get released early from prison and decide to move away from Genoa City.

She thinks she needs a fresh start and she wants to get away from everything in GC that is dragging her down. She also filed for divorce from Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) and seeks to end their marriage.

Cane begged Lily to reconsider, but she refused. She believes a divorce is in the best interest of the whole family. She pointed out that they have both had moments of infidelity, one of which led to a child. While she loves Sam like he is her son, he isn’t her biological child.

With that, Lane was dead and fans were devastated. What happens next?

This seems to be on every viewer’s mind right now. Will Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) death push Cane and Lily back together?

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Winters Family Is Dwindling

Khalil has stated she doesn’t want a contract role on Y&R. She has been happy since leaving the show, only appearing a handful of times to show Lily in prison. She doesn’t want to be active on Y&R as she wants the freedom to peruse other opportunities.

The Winters family is getting smaller. With Kristoff St. John’s death, the soap opera lost a vital member of the family. And, now, Lily says she wants to move away to get a fresh start alone – leaving the twins with Cane.

It may be time for CBS to consider recasting the role. Lily’s presence on Y&R is missed. The viewers have expressed the desire for a recast, that is if, Khalil refuses to come back full-time.
