Young and the Restless News: Daniel Goddard’s Sweet Message For Lexie Stevenson

There’s no denying that The Young and the Restless star Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) takes his role as a parent quite seriously – both on and off screen. The actor had nothing but sweet words for his own screen daughter Lexie Stevenson on her birthday. Here’s what he had to say!

Sharing several throwback photos of him and Lexie Stevenson on his Instagram account, Daniel wrote, “Today my kind, caring, funny, smart, and totally crazy TV daughter turned 21yrs oooooollllllld! You are soooooo old now! ??????Seriously you are so old! So celebrate tonight beautiful girl because it’s allllll downhill from here! ????Love you to the pluto and back (and yes Pluto is a planet! It was, is, and will always be… and anyone who says it isn’t is wrong!)”

Don’t you just love it when your favorite daytime television stars are just as close off screen as they are on screen? A lot of fans seem to agree as Daniel got plenty of comments that included, “ Happy Birthday Lexi. I am missing you all these days on Y&R. Come on writers, give us the Ashby clan,” along with, “Happy Birthday, Lexi!! I miss you (and the rest of the Ashby fam) on Y&R!”

Another fan wrote, “I’m missing the Ashby kids! It’s been too long since we saw them. Someone needs to tell The Young and the Restless writers to get Cane and Lily back together again. They belong with each other! They Ashbys are one of my favorite daytime television families.”

Lexie, meanwhile, responded with a simply, “I love you so much,” along with several crying emojis and red hearts. We have a feeling that those are tears of joy, by the way!

And while The Young and the Restless producers have made no comments about when we can expect to see the Ashby gang in completion once again, we do know that Cane Ashby has been sharing a lot of screen time with Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland). Now as far as where that storyline will go, no one knows for sure. Needless to say, fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
