Young and The Restless Melissa Ordway and Jason Canela Talk Abby and Arturo and What They Hope To Happen This 2019

“Young and the Restless” newest couples, Melissa Ordway and Jason Canela, recently shared details about their roles as Abby and Arturo, respectively. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, the two also talked about what they hope to happen to their characters’ love story this year.

Arturo is one of the newcomers on “The Young and the Restless.” When asked if he knows what his role really is, Jason admitted that he didn’t really have the complete picture of his character, except for what is being revealed to him at the start. But, as he went through the storyline, he noticed that everything about Arturo surprises him.

The interview highlighted the romance between Jason and Abby, and when Melissa was asked for her thoughts on their love story, she admitted that she already had a clue that she has a new love interest. Arturo came to the scene when Melissa just returned from her maternity leave, and she learned on the script that there would be a new guy coming who is not related to Abby.

It seems that Melissa really like being paired with another guy in Y&R. In fact, she’s excited about this new tandem and sees how their characters would end up, especially that Abby’s relationships in the past were unsuccessful.

On whether they both like their team up, Ordway thinks Jason is just so good to work with, believing that with his new leading man, they will have a good time in the process. Canela also expressed his excitement on being paired with Ordway.

Their budding romance in the show must have also influenced their relationship behind the camera, especially when they are on the set during breaks. They are into hide-and-seeks in between and they scare each other just to have fun.

When asked what they hope to happen to their characters in 2019, Canela admitted that he liked how the storyline focuses on their relationship, believing that the writers are really good at showing something new for the audience this year. Like Canela, Ordway also love to see their relationship getting stronger, not to mention, being serious about each other.

Meanwhile, recent Y&R spoilers reveal that Arturo and Mia will be caught locking lips, which will surely test his relationship with Abby. The next episodes will then see a devastated Abby who’s trying to figure out how come Arturo wasn’t able to resist such temptation.
